A bubble text generator swaps each letter for an enclosed Unicode character — circled Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ, filled 🅑🅤🅑🅑🅛🅔 or boxed 🄱🅄🄱🄱🄻🄴 — so the result pastes as text into Instagram, TikTok, Discord or a chat. Type above, tap a style to copy. Five of these letters can turn into emoji; this page shows which.
The tool starts on the round and boxed styles; every other style from the FontFancy fancy text generator is one tab away. Below the comparison you will find number badges from ① to ㊿, bubble words and names, and round symbols that suit these letters.
Five bubble and box styles compared
The five styles come from two Unicode blocks and differ in more than looks: two of them have no lowercase, and the filled ones take twice the storage of the outlined circles. That second point matters in fields that count UTF-16 units.
| Style | Example | Block (first letter) | Lowercase? | Numbers | “Bubble” costs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Circled | Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ | Enclosed Alphanumerics (U+24B6) | Yes (ⓐ–ⓩ) | ⓪ ①–⑳, then ㉑–㊿ | 6 chars · 6 units |
| Filled circle | 🅑🅤🅑🅑🅛🅔 | Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement (U+1F150) | No — capitals only | ❶–❿ and ⓫–⓴ (separate blocks) | 6 chars · 12 units |
| Squared | 🄱🅄🄱🄱🄻🄴 | Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement (U+1F130) | No — capitals only | None | 6 chars · 12 units |
| Filled square | 🅱🆄🅱🅱🅻🅴 | Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement (U+1F170) | No — capitals only | None | 6 chars · 12 units |
| Parenthesized | ⒝⒰⒝⒝⒧⒠ | Enclosed Alphanumerics (U+249C) | Lowercase only | ⑴–⒇ | 6 chars · 6 units |
Because filled circles and both square styles have no lowercase, the generator shows your text in capitals for those three. The small caps generator covers the opposite need — lowercase-looking capitals — if you want something compact instead of round.
The five letters that can turn into emoji
Out of more than 150 enclosed letters, exactly five are also defined as emoji in the Unicode emoji data: circled capital Ⓜ (U+24C2) and the filled squares 🅰 🅱 🅾 🅿 (U+1F170, U+1F171, U+1F17E, U+1F17F). They are text-style by default, but many phones and apps draw them as coloured buttons — which is why a word like 🅱🅰🅱🆈 can come out with two red tiles and two black letters.

| Text style (+U+FE0E) | Emoji style (+U+FE0F) | Code point | What Unicode calls it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ⓜ︎ | Ⓜ️ | U+24C2 | Circled capital M |
| 🅰︎ | 🅰️ | U+1F170 | Filled square A (blood type A) |
| 🅱︎ | 🅱️ | U+1F171 | Filled square B (blood type B) |
| 🅾︎ | 🅾️ | U+1F17E | Filled square O (blood type O) |
| 🅿︎ | 🅿️ | U+1F17F | Filled square P (parking) |
Adding the invisible variation selector U+FE0E after one of these letters asks for the plain text look, and U+FE0F asks for the emoji look. Unicode lists both sequences as valid, but whether an app honours the request is up to the app, so check the preview before you save a profile name. Two related characters are emoji by default and never look like plain letters: 🆎 (U+1F18E) and the square word buttons such as 🆒 and 🆕.

Why two regional letters can become a flag
The “regional indicator” letters 🇦 to 🇿 (U+1F1E6–U+1F1FF) look like boxed letters, but they exist to build flags: any two in a row that match a country code are displayed as that country’s flag. Typing US or IN in this style would show a flag instead of letters. That is why the generator puts a space between every regional letter — and why you should keep the spaces if you edit the result.
Number badges from ① to ㊿
Circled numbers are the most practical part of the bubble set: step lists, ranked picks and numbered captions all read faster with them. Unicode splits them across three places — ① to ⑳ in Enclosed Alphanumerics, ㉑ to ㉟ and ㊱ to ㊿ in the Enclosed CJK Letters and Months block — and there are no circled numbers above 50.
Outlined ⓪ ① to ⑳ (21)
Outlined ㉑ to ㊿ (30)
These come from a CJK block, so on some devices they are drawn a little smaller or in a different line weight than ① to ⑳. Mixing both ranges in one list is fine; just preview it.

Bubble words and names
Short words work best in bubble letters because every character is wide. Long sentences in filled circles are tiring to read, so keep them for one word, a greeting or a name.

Bubble names with round frames (20)
Each label names the style, so you can rebuild the same look for your own name in the tool above. Names with a capital M in the circled style include Ⓜ — the one circled letter that may appear as an emoji.
Round symbols to pair with bubble letters
Round letters look finished next to round marks — foam, dots, circles and clouds — rather than sharp stars or crowns. Everything here is copyable text; the sets with 🫧 or coloured dots include colour emoji, which look slightly different on each phone brand. For hearts, stars and crowns, see the symbols for names collection, and for pastel bio recipes the aesthetic text generator.

Wanted drawn bubble letters instead?
Search results for “bubble letters” are mostly drawing tutorials and downloadable fonts — puffy 3D lettering for posters, signs and school projects. That is a different thing from bubble text: a drawing or a font file cannot be pasted into a username. If you need puffy letters on a poster, use a bubble-style font in a design app; if you need round letters that travel with your text, use the generator on this page. When a pasted bubble letter shows up as an empty box, the reason is the reader’s fonts, and the fixes are collected in why fancy text does not show in some apps.
Questions about bubble text
How do I type bubble letters?
Type your text into the bubble text generator at the top of this page and tap the circled, filled or squared style to copy it. Phone keyboards do not have a bubble mode, so the letters have to come from a generator or a character picker.
Why do some bubble letters show as red emoji?
Circled Ⓜ and the filled squares 🅰 🅱 🅾 🅿 are defined as emoji in Unicode, so many devices draw them as coloured buttons. The other enclosed letters are ordinary text characters and keep the colour of the surrounding text.
Are there lowercase filled bubble letters?
No. Unicode encodes filled circles and both square styles for capital letters only. Outlined circled letters are the only bubble style with a full lowercase alphabet.
What is the highest circled number?
Circled numbers go from ⓪ and ① up to ㊿ (fifty). Filled circled numbers stop at ⓴ (twenty). There are no circled numbers above fifty in Unicode.
Can I use bubble text in a username?
Usually not in an @username, which normally allows only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores. Display names, bios and captions on Instagram, TikTok and Discord generally accept bubble letters.
